Sortlas is a daily geography game. Every day you get five countries and one statistic, and you put the countries in order, highest first. You get three tries.
After each try the countries you placed correctly turn green and lock. The rest point up or down, so you know which way you were wrong but not by how much. Get all five in order and you win. Fewer tries and faster thinking score higher, out of 10,000.
Every puzzle is built from published public data, the World Bank's and other sources like it. The measures rotate: GDP per capita, life expectancy, forest cover, military spending, how much of a country's power is renewable. Each puzzle names its own source and the year the figures are from, so you can check it.
Only the 193 UN member states are eligible. Most days lean on countries people can place, with the occasional harder one thrown in.
